With A Saddened Heart...We Say Good-Bye To Another Fabulous Shelter Publication...Southern Accents...
My heart feels heavy...it's as though another friend is leaving us...when finding out that Southern Accents Magazine-a sister publication to Coastal Living Magazine- is shutting it's doors- my heart felt very saddened. What a fine publication it has been- fashionable interiors, elegant- an utterly fabulous image of truly devine Southern decor! With what is happening, will we have any truly great shelter publications left? My hopes are that House Beautiful and Elle Decor can stay tough through these hard times too...

With all this closure I'm looking forward to blogging becoming the new "shelter" for all things creative.
The face of design is changing. We are losing some fabulous magazines. Hopefully we aren't losing our design sense and can still reinvent through different mediums.

Thanks for your view- and blogging will and is becoming the shelter publications on line- you are right, though I love to curl up late at night with beautiful issues and gaze and (drool) over the fabulously designed rooms, the beautifully styled photos (my appreciation goes deep due to my work as an interior stylist for a number of years)and the incredible talents of the photographers. It's just different to actually hold the issues in hand...(sigh)
