A Montecito Getaway...

Packed my bags and headed for a small business trip {and pleasure} in Montecito- a favourite destination! Love to stay at The Montecito Inn- was owned by the late Charlie Chaplin. It's quaint, Spanish ambiance is why I love it, not to mention the fabulous hospitality...

The rooms are well appointed...my husband laughs because I love the bed turned down with chocolates on my pillow...

Love the bath too...

Next door to our favourite {restaurant and bar} Lucky's...

We started with a Greyhound with Grey Goose and shrimp cocktail, dined on Ahi and Asparagus Hollandaise, sipped a fabulous Pinot Noir from a local Summerland Winery and finished dinner with a delicious Grand Marnier Souffle! There's always a celebrity to spot...like Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Oprah {who has a home in town} and behind us waiting to be seated was the legendary Carol Burnett {who looked fabulous by the way}- I felt funny to bother her and say hello, though the Maitre d' told us she's so down to earth and would have enjoyed talking to us! {speaking of Maitre d', here he is Eric, a great guy, he always makes our visit enjoyable!

You must stop by The San Ysidro Ranch {a Montecito landmark} John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy honey mooned here...

The most darling cottages and rooms...love the decor...love being nestled in the hills...

If you don't stay here...at least stop by at night for a cocktail by the patio fireplace...what a lovely getaway spot...Montecito...we always enjoy our stay!
