Veranda Magazine Designer Showhouse at The Greystone Estate

Entry Hall by Jack Fhillips displays a dramatic stone Formations table.
Salle de Reception designed by Waldo Fernandez- love the floor!

The Petite Salon designed by the Veranda Editors.

One of my favorite rooms is the Master Suite Hall designed by Michelle Nussbaumer- I love the shape of pagodas!

The relaxing hues in the family room designed by Nathan Turner.

Beautiful soft turquoise and aqua in the guest room designed by Elizabeth Dinkel.

Of course I love the lady's bedroom designed by Mary McDonald- the muted grays and chinoisserie wall covering- old Hollywood glamour!

Another favorite- Windsor Smith designed the master bedroom with Moroccan and African influence.

The Greystone Estate is located in Beverly Hills and is the largest estate in the city with 46,000 square feet and 55 rooms. Wooden paneling concealed hidden rooms for liquor in the prohibition days. Greystone was built by oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny for his son and daughter in law for a wedding gift. It was built in 1927- The Roaring Twenties. A few years later the house became the place of murder when two men, the owner, Doheny's son and his secretary were murdered in the home. To this day, the murder was not solved. Later the house was sold a few times and purchased by the city of Beverly Hills in order to preserve the beautiful estate. For more on the Greystone Estate Designer Show House and more photos:
